Description

The youth that are served face multiple, difficult challenges beyond their homelessness, including family dysfunction, lack of education or life skills, and social isolation.
For many of the residents, the stability of the youth housing programs is their first exposure to a structured, safe, and supportive living situation.

    In supplying meals and supplies to the growing homeless in Tent Cities, living under viaducts, etc., I've noted that when engaging in conversation I see a wide variety of issues and I applaud The Night Ministry as I've seen the Bus on the South Side of Chgo. I am most concerned as I don't see more places like this and rarely if ever hear of Advocates to [get the Homeless Housing - off the streets]. Last Winter (2018), they opened up the Park Districts to House the Homeless when the temps dropped, as the Shelters were full. I see this as an issue that all the shelters, organizations, and individuals who assist and care about them, need to come together on, ASAP. Thanks for all you do...
